A good cycling helmet
Helm is considered the best buy by the C.B.
Pros & Cons

A good, safe cycling helmet
The May 2026 issue of the consumer guide featured a bicycle helmet test, in which this helmet, the Lazer Codax Kineticore, came out on top and was named ‘Best Buy’ And Mantel offered it at an affordable price, so I bought my second helmet from Mantel (Lazer)
Pros & Cons
4 / 5
Good helmet for great price
The chin strap is difficult to make smaller if your head is not large. The openings for the ears then become smaller.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
I feel safer with this helmet
Feel safe with this helmet. Previous identical helmet cushioned my fall perfectly. Helmet also looks good. Kineticore really works - studs break off when falling. Only downside is that the helmet does make it immediately unusable to continue cycling safely. Use the helmet mostly for MTB but also for commuting and family trips.
Pros & Cons
3 / 5
Cheap, lightweight and highly visible
Helmet does fine on the head. You forget at some point that you have it on. So good sign. Yellow as a colour is also nice and visible. Be careful with the strap, though. The clip used does not provide a smooth underside when the helmet is snapped on. So this could be more comfortable and if I had known this I would have bought a different helmet.
